Born in Algeria and raised in different parts of the world, Ghizlan inherited her parents’ determination and tenacity. She started working at the age of 17 and with a lot of hard work, focus, can-do attitude, consistency and grace from God, she shifted her career and life to become a renowned entrepreneur and a mentor to hundreds of women globally.
Her passion lies in supporting women, helping young girls uncover their potential and creating change. She’s a believer in our ability as humans to always improve, continuously learn and grow, and own our narrative, and because she has seen it all from imposter syndrome, to lack of confidence, to inability to envision herself building a business, yet has overcome those barriers, Ghizlan knows that it takes a few ingredients and a good stirring of the pot to shift the mindset from can’t to CAN. That is exactly why she created FForce, a space that she wished she had many years back when she started her career journey.
Outside of work, Ghizlan loves spending time with family and friends, one of the things she values the most in life. She believes that a good mind needs a good and healthy body to support it and worksout regularly as a form of self-care and a way to build mental strength. There’s hardly a day without her enjoying a good tune (music is a love language!) and the best way for her to start her day is breathing fresh air, meditating and sipping good ‘ol coconut late. She’s on a journey of life with much curiosity and courage to explore every opportunity that life has to offer, and goes at it with optimism and some humour.

Ghizlan Guenez is an entrepreneur, business woman and an avid advocate for women’s advancement. Building her career from the ground up, Ghizlan dabbled in a number of jobs in admin and sales, moving to the investment space where she climbed the corporate ladder over the course of 14 years, during which she put herself through university and gained a first class degree from the London School of Economics.
She left the corporate world in 2015 to shift to entrepreneurship where her passion lies. She launched several businesses in the fashion, e-commerce & EdTech space including The Modist, the first global destination for luxury modest fashion, dubbed by The New York Times as one of five “New Wave Ecommerce Contenders” and winner of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies in the world in 2018 and 2019. Ghizlan is also part of BoF 500, Business of Fashion’s index of the most influential people in the fashion industry.
Ghizlan is passionate about supporting women on their journey of growth and development and created FForce for this purpose and to become a space for women to be inspired, educated,
and supported within a like-minded community.
